181216-who-will-you-bring-over-to-jesus-mt2818-20

Scripture: Matthew 28:16-20

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Jesus told Thomas, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29)

Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I depart. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. (Job 1:21)

The Great Commission is a command, not a suggestion or an option.

For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19:10)

Crossover from:

  • Darkness to Light in Christ
  • Doubt to Faith
  • Unbelief to Trust
  • Hopelessness to Hopefulness
  • Emptiness to Fullness
  • Uncertainty to Certainty
  • Insufficiency to Sufficiency
  • Nothing to Everything
  • Insecurity to Security
  • Being Lost to Being Found
  • Bad to Good
  • Unholy to Holy
  • Ungodly to Godly
  • Lawlessness to Law-abiding
  • Shame to Recognition
  • Rejection to Acceptance
  • Disobedience to Obedience
  • Rebellion to Repentance
  • Disappointment to Divine Appointment
  • Barren Land to Fertile Land
  • Slavery (to sin) to Royalty in Him
  • Curses to Blessings
  • Ordinary to Extraordinary
  • Natural to Supernatural
  • Unanointed to Anointed

Now you can tell others that God can turn:

A Mess into a Message
A Test into a Testimony
A Trial into a Triumph
A Victim into a Victor

The just shall live by FAITH.

Those who persevere/endure/stand firm to the end shall be saved.

Total Dependence on God

41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas”(Aramaic)(which, when translated, is Peter (Greek) = Rock). (John 1:41-42)

Who will bring your loved one and friend over to Jesus?

Answer: You Will

Why? Because…

1. You are an obedient child of God (cf. Matt. 28:19-20)

  • You will go, preach, teach and make disciples

But in your hearts revere (honor) Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. (1 Peter 3:15)

2. You are a responsible watchman

  • You will warn people of the coming wrath of God

17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. (Ezekiel 3:17-18)

3. You are a wise person

  • You will shine for the Lord whoever you are or go
  • You will do a kind deed daily and be ready to share your testimony.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise. (Proverbs 11:30)

4. You love the lost (like Jesus)

  • You don’t want anyone within your sphere of influence to perish and to spend eternity in hell
  • Hell is a real and permanent place where unbelievers will be tormented day and night eternally

In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ’Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ “But Abraham replied, ’Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’ (Luke 16:23-26)

5. You are Led by the Holy Spirit

  • Soul-winning is a spiritual warfare
  • Good technique alone is not good enough
  • You need the anointing of the Holy Spirit – to lead and guide you

Jesus invites all to come to Him.

Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. (Revelation 22:17)

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

What can you do to bring people over to Jesus?

  1. Pray for your unbelieving loved one, friend and colleague
  2. Pray for the veil to be removed from their mind
  3. Take authority over evil spirits that blind them
  4. Live for Jesus before them – wisely and carefully
  5. Share your testimony to them
  6. Invite them to our Christmas Service
  7. Be filled with the Spirit – Eph 5:18
  8. Pray in the Spirit on all occasions – Eph 6:18

Stop playing the fool and be serious with Jesus and His call upon your life to be His true witness.

Challenge:

Rise Up and Shine for Jesus

Crossover to His side and remain there

Don’t Turn Back!

Be faithful to Him to the end!

Ask God to use your life to bring someone over to His side before the year is over.

Commitment and Dedication:
Present yourself as a living sacrifice to Him and allow Him to use your life for His glory and honor.

Take that step of faith forward and be empowered by Him today.
