Elim Church adheres to a set of non-negotiable tenets of faith referred to as the 16 Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God; a concise version of which is given below.
- We believe... the Bible is God's Word and declares His design and purpose for mankind. It is our perfect and reliable guide in all matters of life.
- We believe... in One True God - eternally existent and revealed in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is loving, holy and just.
- We believe... in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's Son, Jesus was fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He led a sinless life, took all our sins upon Himself, died and rose again. Today, He is seated at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Mediator and will return to this earth to rule over the nations.
- We believe... Man willingly fell to sin and are separated from God. Only through Jesus Christ can we be reconciled to God.
- We believe... in Salvation through Jesus Christ. Salvation is God's gift to man. Through repentance from sin and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ, we can experience peace with God and live in fellowship with Him.
- We believe... and observe two Ordinances - (1) Water Baptism by Immersion; having repented of our sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) in remembrance of Christ's death and looking for the Blessed Hope.
